Power Bus Voltage Simulator
Simulate power bus Voltage with wire Resistance, loads, and optional Capacitors. See how the bus Voltage changes as loads switch on and off.
How to use
Configure the power bus:
- Source Voltage - Power supply Voltage
- Wire Resistance - Resistance of the power bus wires
- Loads - Add multiple loads that can switch on/off
- Capacitor - Optional bus Capacitor for voltage hold-up
The simulator updates 4× per second, showing how the bus Voltage responds to load changes.
Examples
Low Resistance Bus
- Wire Resistance: 0.1Ω
- Minimal Voltage drop under load
- Good for high-Current applications
High Resistance Bus
- Wire Resistance: 1.0Ω
- Significant Voltage drop under load
- May need larger wire gauge
FAQ
Q: Why does the bus Voltage drop? A: Wire Resistance creates a Voltage drop proportional to Current (V = I × R).
Q: What does the Capacitor do? A: The Capacitor helps hold up the bus Voltage during brief load spikes, smoothing out Voltage fluctuations.
